- Clean
- Dry
- Worn out and torn
These do not belong in the collection of discarded textiles:
- Bags
- Carpets
- Belts
- Shoes
- Underwear
- Socks
- Padded textiles such as blankets and pot holders
- Soft toys
- Wet, moldy and strong-smelling textiles or textiles that contain pests
Note! Discarded textiles must be packed in a sealed plastic bag.
Where are discarded textiles accepted?
At the recycling stations during opening hours.
What happens to the discarded textiles?
The discarded textiles are delivered to a processing plant in Paimio, which handles discarded consumer textiles from all over Finland. Discarded textiles are processed into recycled fibre.
