The treatment of the waste and the functions related to the guidance of the waste to further treatment are gathered at the waste centre. Combustible waste is delivered to the waste centre's transfer station, and the storage area stores recyclable waste from customers, recycling stations and eco-points. Garden waste is composted in a special composting area, and concrete waste, for example, is crushed in a storage area reserved for this purpose. Landfill waste is deposited in the waste centre's landfill. Large waste batches are delivered to the waste centre.
Household waste that does not belong in your own waste container or at the eco-point is mainly taken to the recycling centre. As a rule of thumb, a car trailer with waste belongs at the recycling station, while a tractor trailer with a single type of waste is delivered to the waste centre.
In cooperation with producer organisations, Botniarosk offers free collection of greenhouse lamps at the Botniarosk waste centre in Ostrobothnia.
The lamps are placed in 200 litre drums. Empty drums can be collected from the waste centre and returned when full. Alternatively, the lamps can be delivered to the waste centre and placed in the bins there.
